Our History
Leonhard Insurance Agency was founded in 1967 by Bernard Leonhard. Bernard began selling insurance nine years earlier in 1958. After his passing, his wife Rose Marie Leonhard continued the Agency. She grew and developed the business over the next 25 years. Her son James Leonhard joined the agency in 1992. He continued selling the farm, home, auto and flood insurance that his parents began many years ago, while adding a new line of business - crop insurance. In the spring of 2000 James’ wife, Carol Leonhard, joined the agency as a licensed agent. Together they grew the business. In 2009 the third generation of the Leonhard family jointed the Agency - Lisa (Leonhard) Day. Lisa and her husband Aaron currently own and operate Leonhard Insurance Agency in the same rural community it was founded in. Leonhard Insurance Agency has 4 licensed agents and serves policyholders in over 23 counties in the state of Missouri as well as Illinois and Arkansas. We look forward to a very successful future filled with continued growth and longstanding relationships with our insureds.
